PUBLISHED IN 2024: Artificial intelligence has deeply impacted our understanding of creativity and the human ability to generate creative outputs. New applications for creative tasks are rapidly evolving, and new tools are constantly being developed with much greater optimal capabilities. Importantly, the success of implementing such tools for creative tasks is still heavily dependent on human supervision and input. Therefore, it is vital to understand and critically reflect on the nature of co-creative processes between humans and AI. This book addresses such issues and provides insights into how humans can augment their capabilities for generating creative and innovative outputs by successfully co-creating with AI.

IN PROGRESS (Expected release in 2027): The latest Generative Artificial Intelligence have reached a level of sophistication, precision and ease of use, which has triggered the production of an unprecedented volume of creative content. This scenario of abundance found online is quickly reshaping traditional understandings of, for example, authenticity, authorship, and artistic value, while also influencing how audiences perceive, engage with, and emotionally respond to creative work. In view of this scenario, the book aims to address one of the most relevant questions of our time: How can creative industries, human creators, and society at large, deal with and sustainably adapt to a new reality shaped by the large-scale production and distribution of AI-generated creative content?
The book is currently in progress and is expected to be published in early 2027.
